5K Physical Education Turkey Trot

The Physical Education Department collected over 1000 canned goods in their first annual Turkey Trot. Approximately 800 students participated in a 5K run in teams of 1, 2, 3 or 4. The activity took place in their PE class at Dennis Garber Stadium. We couldn’t be prouder of the effort, generosity and behavior our student s displayed.   The 1070 canned goods were taken to a local food shelter to help those in need during the Thanksgiving Holiday. Students had the great pleasure of delivering the canned goods themselves and learned great deal from this experience.  After the race the participants enjoyed nutritious food and beverage as a post race celebration. Over 50 Raffle prizes were raffled off to all those who participated. The winners are posted below. We also had winners for the best time posted in each category. Each winner received a turkey trot t-shirt.
