Teaching: I teach Chemistry and Astronomy, and also Critical Thinking, which is part of the Gifted Program. I've been at Hoffman since 2001. Before that, I taught at Schaumburg High School, where I coached track and volleyball. I've been teaching for 33 years.
Coaching and Activities: I am the assistant varsity baseball coach, and I help sponsor the SOS club.
Family: I am married to Cathy, who also teaches at HEHS. I have three children, who all attended Hoffman. I am the oldest of eight children; my father and brothers and sisters all live near New York City. The most fun I ever have is when we all get together.
Education: I graduated from Northwestern University in 1975. I have lots of ugly purple stuff.
Favorite stuff to do: I golf, ride my bike, play volleyball, fly kites, read and write, stay up late, watch The Daily Show and Letterman and sports and the Sabbath Gasbags on TV, look at stars, and do crossword and Sudoku puzzles.
