American Studies offers the student an opportunity to examine the question, "What is an American?" By studying America's history, literature, music, art, and architecture, the student can discover what makes him or her special as an American. This course combines a chronological or thematic study of both American history and American literature. (Prerequisite: E202, E208, or department recommendation)
