This course is designed to improve basic language skills in reading and writing. The writing program stresses the application of language skills in short compositions. The reading program develops skill in recalling, summarizing, making predictions, and inferences. Activities focus on reading strategies useful for a wide range of materials. High-interest materials are utilized at increasing levels of difficulty.
