B364 Business Technology

Business Technology is a course designed to help students develop office-related skills by providing training on office machines
and in business procedures. Topics covered include filing, telephone etiquette, human relations, document formatting, Windows,
desktop publishing, presentation graphics, electronic mail, and editing. Students use Microsoft Office 2000 (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint), and other related programs to complete the course objectives. In addition, they have the option of working
in selected business offices in the community and earning school credit under the guidance of a coordinator and a business-training sponsor. Students who select this option earn one unit of credit for work experience along with the one unit of credit for the Business Technology course. Students may also participate in a related club where they have opportunities to develop leadership and business- related skills. When B364 is completed as a junior, a second work experience credit may be earned senior year by taking a related business course while continuing the internship experience
