B265 Desktop Publishing


This course covers desktop publishing skills using the PC in a windows environment.  Students learn desktop publishing concepts including graphics and fonts, leading and kerning, design principles, scanning, and the use of color in documents.  Advanced Microsoft Word and Adobe PageMaker 6.5 are used by students to produce various documents such as announcements, flyers, brochures, business cards, and newsletters. 

Prerequisite:  B162 Computer Literacy and B163 Computer Applications or B164 Computer Literacy/Computer Applications
